Tribocorrosion In Extended Reach Drillings And Improving The Drilling Efficiency

The research focuses on experimental modelling of tribocorrosion in extended reach drillings and improving the drilling efficiency through implementing various additives.  Synopsis of the research is (a) Exploring the plausibility of using hair-thin polymeric or ceramic coating instead of expensive exotic materials for a variety of industrial application, (b) Finding the best solution to reduce the energy consumption and downtime of drilling rigs though testing drilling mud additives and (c) Search for innovative way to reduce friction in industrial practices.
